Welcome to the HD/HR Holden Nationals 2027 – Canberra
In 2027, the Nationals are heading to Canberra – the Nation’s Capital – and the beautiful surrounding districts.
Your hosts are a small but passionate group of Canberra-based HD & HR enthusiasts: Karen and Stephen Booth, Lee‑Ann and Mark Hush, Nathan Booth, Chris Stanford‑Bull, and Bruce Bull. Our goal is simple: to put on an event that everyone enjoys while showcasing some of the highlights this region has to offer.
Nationals HQ – Capital Country Holiday Park
Our home base for the event (10–14 June 2027) is the Capital Country Holiday Park, located just over the border in Sutton, NSW.
The park has been fully booked for Nationals entrants, so you’ll need to call them directly to secure your accommodation. Let them know you’re part of the HD/HR Nationals to receive current pricing.
Please note: Any unsold cabins will be released to the public in December 2026, so get in early.
Event Venues
Show ’n’ Shine: To be announced – and yes, it will be somewhere cool.
Presentation Dinner: Also to be announced – another great Canberra venue coming your way.
Sunday Run to Cooma
On Sunday, we’re heading to Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy Mountains and only an hour and a half from Canberra.
The Cooma Car Club will be opening their private museum for us to explore, and they’ll be putting on lunch as well.
For those staying on Sunday night, we’ve booked tables at the Eaglehawk Pub, just two kilometres from Nationals HQ. A brisk winter walk, anyone?
Entry & Payment
We’re continuing with the electronic sign‑up and payment system originally introduced by the Queensland HD & HR Holden Club Inc. Huge thanks to them—and especially Alan Warren—for giving us access and helping us get everything set up.
But don’t panic: if technology isn’t your thing, the paper entry form is still available. We can email it to you, or you can download it directly from this website.
Judging Categories
We’re keeping the established categories:
Unrestored Original, Restored Original, Era Sports, Modified, Highly‑Modified, Rusty Relic, and Custom.
You can read more under Entry Categories Explained or in the relevant section of the paper form.
